Extension name: TS Autofill (the "Extension")

This privacy policy describes how TS Autofill handles your information. We respect your privacy and are committed to transparency. Your data stays on your device — it is never sent to our servers, never sold, and never shared with third parties.

1. What data does the extension collect?

📄 PDF content (local extraction only)

• When you manually select a PDF file, the extension reads the text from the document entirely inside your browser using a built-in PDF parser (pdf.js bundled locally).
• No PDF file or extracted text is ever uploaded to any server. All operations occur on your own computer.

🗂️ Profiles and form field data (stored locally)

• The extension creates "profiles" containing field mappings (e.g., name, passport number, address pieces) extracted from PDFs.
• Profiles are saved using Chrome's storage.local API and stay only on your current browser profile.
• You can edit, export (by viewing), or delete profiles at any time from the popup interface.

🌐 Visa website interaction (activeTab permission)

• When you click “Auto Fill”, the extension temporarily accesses the active tab on indianvisa-bangladesh.nic.in to fill form fields using the profile you selected.
• No information from the visa website is sent back to the extension developer or any third party.

2. How is your data used?

The sole purpose of data collection is to automatically fill visa application forms based on information extracted from your PDF. The specific usage:

• PDF text → parsed into field values → saved locally as a profile.
• Selected profile → injected into the visa form page (only after your explicit click).
• No machine learning, no data mining, no behavioral tracking.

3. Data storage & security

• Storage location: Your Chrome browser’s storage.local (internal, extension‑managed).
• Retention: Data remains until you delete the profile or remove the extension. Uninstalling the extension will remove all associated local data.
• Encryption: Chrome’s storage system is isolated per extension and profile; no external encryption keys are used by us.

4. External data sharing & transfer

Zero. TS Autofill does not transmit, share, sell, or rent any user data. There are no background servers, no analytics endpoints, and no external APIs called during normal operation.

• ❌ No remote code / scripts loaded from the internet.
• ❌ No tracking pixels or analytics libraries.
• ❌ No crash reporting or telemetry.

5. Future features: payment / credit system (transparent update)

We may introduce optional features in the future (e.g., cloud credits, transaction validation via a website API). If that happens:

• This privacy policy will be updated and clearly indicate what new data (e.g., transaction ID, payment amount) is collected and transmitted.
• Explicit user consent will be required (e.g., extension update + re‑acceptance).
• No existing local profiles will be shared without your permission.

Currently, no payment system is active, and no API calls are made.

6. Permissions explained (transparency)

7. Your choices & control

• Delete profiles: Use the popup → profile list → Delete button.
• Clear all data: Remove the extension from Chrome → all stored profiles are gone.
• No sign‑in required: The extension works completely offline (except for the visa website itself).

8. Children’s privacy

TS Autofill is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data via the PDF extraction, simply delete the profile or uninstall the extension.

9. Changes to this privacy policy

We will update this policy when necessary (e.g., adding payment features). The date at the top of this page will change. If we make material changes, we may notify you via the Chrome Web Store listing or an in‑extension notice.
